Three Hour Tour

SANDY ISLAND (YES ANOTHER, SANDY ISLAND!)

After the hash and the most yummy roti (vegetable and chicken curry in a homemade wrap) we cruised up the bay in about a minute to Sandy Island (yes, another Sandy Island like Hermosa Beach or ...) with our Hash Gang.  This point had all kinds of coral, a lovely underwater garden and lots of gold fish and just every kind of fish you can think of.

As Wade lunches and recoops in our cockpit you get a glimpse of our new dinghy, Just Drifting Junior.
We stayed with a 10 1/2 foot but changed to an aluminum hull which is lighter and deeper and really cuts through the waves and turns on a dime.  It makes hoising it onto the arch a lot easier for Wade.  He's a happy guy.

As the gang split up, Just Drifting carried on to revisit Petit St. Vincent and Tobago Cays and the crystaline waters of the Grenadines.

Leaving the Cays Flying the Spinnaker 1st time!!

Leaving the turtle sanctuary we started home heading for the Windward side of Grenada.  With the wind and swell at our backs we decided to try out our new Spinnaker.  We might have been battling a current and there was little wind but we are wondering if we could use a bigger Spinnaker.  After all we have a huge, new pole that is way too big for this sail.  The experiment continues...
