8.2 knots past St. Lucia and to Wallilabou Bay, St. Vincent / 100 Pound Yellow Fin

CUT TO THE CHASE......WADE REELS IN A 100 + POUND YELLOW FIN TUNA!

SMILE AS BIG AS A YELLOW FIN TAIL FIN

WEIGHING IN AT WALLILABOU BAY (HOME OF JOHNNY DEPP'S PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN.
THE FISH KNOCKED THE SCALE OFF THE CHARTS!
Wade was totally spent after fighting this fish for over an hour and a half.  We pulled in the sails and bobbed around and chased after the tuna fighting with all it's might to get away and dive down to the depths of the deep waters of St. Vincent.  I packaged the steaks that Wade fileted and the kind manager at Wallilabou Anchorage Hotel put it in his freezer for us.  We are still recovering at this moment, as we  sit in the lobby staring at the props, costumes and memorabilia from the film Pirates of the Caribean filmed here in 2005.

St. Anne, Martinique

Accras, Crabe Farce and P'tit Punch were a standard menu in Martinique.  Wade loved the accras in St. Anne.  The owner of the bar put some tables in the street and cod accras (like fritters but better) were 10 for 3 Euro.  We had a feast with a glass of Lorraine beer.

Anse Mitan & Trois Islets

It was wonderful for Maureen to be back in Anse Mitan and Trois Islets, Martinique.
It was 18 yrs. ago that Maureen was here with her 7 yr. old daughter.
Development had certainly changed the place and reduced the beach at Anse Mitan, but it was still as charming.
Trois Islets Grande Hotel was left in ruins with only the white shell that was built but the natural pools built in front of it, as you see below, were pristine and  lovely to soak in.

The crepes were the best in Martinique with a pound of Gruyere and Brie in the middle and Parmesan on top.  Salad with a light french dressing took the edge off and lunch was a major success.  Tres bon!
Zephyr remembered the mango icecream that she had there so we searched for some, et voila!

Jarel, below took this picture of us.
He wants to be a SuperStar when he grows up.
He broke out breakdancing on the sand and we have the video that
we hope will make him famous.
